Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 12 October 2026

This page exists so that nothing about the money is a surprise: what the arrangement is, where the links are, and what decides the content when a commission is on the table.

The arrangement, in one paragraph

Montej group and compani s.r.o. publishes this course and takes part in an affiliate programme for World of Warships, operated by an affiliate network. Several pages carry a link to the World of Warships website; if you follow one and go on to create and activate an account, the network pays Montej group and compani s.r.o. a commission. That commission is the only income this site has. There is no advertising on it, nothing is sold from it, and no reader is ever asked for money.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission is paid by the network out of its own arrangement with the product's publisher. Following the link does not change the terms you are offered, add a fee, or alter what the product costs. Reach the same site by typing the address yourself and your experience is identical; we are simply not paid.

Where the affiliate links are

There is no hidden one. Every affiliate link on this site points at the same destination and carries a note immediately beside it. They appear on the home page, in the section headed "Where World of Warships appears, and why", and once in each of Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Step 4 and Step 5 — each time at the point where the course sends you to the vendor for something only the vendor can tell you.

Each is a plain link with the destination visible in your browser's status bar before you click. No redirect on this domain, no script that changes the destination, no disguise. Each is marked in the page's own code as sponsored and opens in a new tab. The course's other outbound links — the Australian public bodies cited throughout — are unpaid, and those bodies have no relationship with us.

What the commission does not decide

It does not decide what the steps say. The commission is paid on a sign-up, so a course designed around the money would push every reader towards one as fast as it could. This one does the opposite in four places, which are the easiest way to check the claim:

  • Step 1 ends by telling you to stop if the business model is not one you want to be part of.
  • Step 2 tells you to stop if your computer falls below minimum on any single line, and says plainly that Linux machines and tablets are not covered.
  • Step 3 tells you not to attach a payment method, and to read the termination clause before creating anything.
  • Step 5 opens by saying that zero is a perfectly good monthly figure, and ends with a worked example in which the household spends nothing and uninstalls.

It does not decide what is said about the product either. Everything stated here about World of Warships comes from the network's own description of the programme — a single opt-in, a download, the creation and activation of an account, and support for desktop Windows and macOS computers. Where that description is silent, the course says so. There are no invented figures, test results, ratings or comparisons on this site.

What does decide the content

Three things: what a reader needs to decide in order to proceed, which fixes the sequence of the steps; what an Australian public body publishes on a point, which is why the Classification Board, the ACCC, the eSafety Commissioner, the OAIC, the ACSC and Scamwatch are linked where relevant; and what is general across the category rather than particular to one product. The editorial method on the About page sets out the sources and review cycle in more detail, including the plain statement that the single product named here is one we have a commercial relationship with.

Why a product is named at all

A workbook that refused to name anything would be harder to use, not more independent. Naming one real title lets the course say what to look for on a real store page and a real sign-up form. The consequence is stated plainly: the title named is the one we are paid to link to, there is only one, and the course neither claims it is the best choice nor compares it with anything.

Reading this course without using the links

All five steps and all five checklists work completely if you ignore every affiliate link here. Nothing is withheld behind one and no paragraph exists only to carry one. If you prefer, type the vendor's address into your browser yourself — Step 4 recommends exactly that as a general habit.

Trademarks

All brand names on Idle Format, World of Warships among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Idle Format, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.
